My Story
I grew up in St. Charles, Missouri, surrounded by rivers, bluffs, and the natural world. My childhood was filled with outdoor adventures, camping, boating, and exploring, and those experiences shaped a deep connection to nature that continues to inspire my art. Family has always been central to my life, and our family property became a place of sanctuary, conservation, and togetherness—a space that taught me the value of care, permanence, and small moments of beauty.
My life changed dramatically in 2022 when I was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure, and my journey through illness, dialysis, and transplant profoundly shaped who I am. My art reflects these experiences, exploring personal challenges, memory, identity, and moments of joy and whimsy. Now living in Kansas City with my husband and our pets, I spend my time creating, exploring, and sharing stories through sculpture, painting, and other forms. Every piece is a fragment of my life, a moment of reflection, or a celebration of beauty, and I hope it connects with others in meaningful ways.
